Professional driver training (BKF)

BKF advanced training Ingolstadt:

Dear professional drivers,

Since September 9, 2009, BKF (professional driver) training has been mandatory for all professional drivers. The training sessions are regularly held on Saturdays at the S.O.S. driving school (Ingolstadt branch).

In full-day seminars, the topics of eco-training, social regulations for freight transport, safety technology and driving safety, driver control center and load securing are discussed in 5 modules each.

The BKF training course is held by Karl-Heinz Schneider and Frank Hadler-Ehlert. Karl-Heinz Schneider completed his training as an instructor for BKF training courses at the Road Traffic Association (SVG) in Nuremberg. After his training, he worked throughout Bavaria and had the special honor of training the SVG's 1000th driver.

This success has continued to this day as he regularly holds BKF training courses at S.O.S. Exklusiv Fahrschul GmbH. Karl-Heinz has successfully trained numerous professional drivers in recent years with great enthusiasm and commitment. He also organizes and conducts BKF training courses at various companies.

Module 1 without practical part

1.1+1.3: Knowledge of the characteristics of the kinematic chain for optimized use, torque curves, power curves, specific consumption curves of an engine, optimal range of use of the tachometer, optimal speed range when shifting, ability to optimize fuel consumption by applying knowledge 1.1 and 1.2 (approx. 5 h)

From 1.2: Knowledge of the technical characteristics and operation of the vehicle's safety equipment in order to control it, minimize its wear and tear and prevent malfunctions, in particular:

- Achieving the best ratio between speed and gear ratio (approx. 1 h) - Inertia of the vehicle (approx. 1 h)

2.1: Knowledge of the social legal framework and regulations for road haulage or passenger transport (approx. 3 h 30 min)

2.2: Knowledge of the regulations for road haulage (approx. 3 h 30 min)

Module 3 without practical part

From 1.2: Knowledge of the technical characteristics and functioning of the vehicle's safety equipment in order to control it, minimize its wear and tear and prevent malfunctions, (approx. 5 h) in particular:

- Special features of the dual-circuit braking system with pneumatic transmission - limits to the use of braking systems and the continuous braking system - combined use of braking and continuous braking systems

3.1: Raising awareness of the risks of road traffic and accidents at work (approx. 1 h)

3.5: Ability to correctly assess the situation in emergencies (approx. 1 h)

3.6: Ability to behave in a way that contributes to a positive public image of the company (approx. 3 h)

3.7: Knowledge of the economic environment of freight transport and market organization (approx. 1 h 30 min)

3.4: Raising awareness of the importance of good physical and mental health (approx. 1 h)

3.3: Ability to prevent damage to health (approx. 1 h)

3.2: Ability to prevent crime and the smuggling of illegal immigrants (approx. 30 min)

1.4: Ability to ensure the safety of the load by applying the safety regulations and by using the motor vehicle correctly (approx. 7 h)
